The Local Guide
Fort Myers courts can be a battle in season. Lehigh Acres, twenty minutes east, usually is not. The club here has grown steadily and the courts have kept up, which is a rarer combination in Southwest Florida than it should be.

Best time to visit
December – April
Season traffic and season court waits both stop at the county line, more or less. You can drive out here, park, and play instead of standing in a paddle line.
Mixed and growing, with a real appetite for new players. Say you're new and someone will get you into a game and probably give you a pointer or two.
Inland means hotter than the coast — no Gulf breeze. Morning play, always, from May through October.
Frequently asked
Season waits. Fort Myers courts back up badly from January through March; Lehigh Acres is twenty minutes east and you can usually park and play immediately.
Yes. The club has grown fast and is actively bringing new players in — say you're new and someone will get you into a game and give you a pointer or two.
Hotter than the coast, because there is no Gulf breeze this far inland. From May through October, play in the morning or do not play.
