Biggest pickleball cities in Florida

Key findings

1. The Villages is still #1 for court density.

No community in America has more pickleball courts per capita. DinkFind tracks 200+ dedicated courts across the master-planned community's rec centers.

2. Naples has the biggest tournament in the sport.

The Minto US Open Pickleball Championships at East Naples Community Park draws 3,000+ players and 30,000+ spectators every April.

3. Miami and Fort Lauderdale are the fastest-growing metros.

New indoor clubs are opening at record pace across Miami-Dade and Broward. Southeast Florida added an estimated 60+ new facilities in the last 12 months.

4. Court supply still lags demand almost everywhere.

Even in saturated markets like Naples and The Villages, open-play sessions routinely hit capacity. Wait times of 30–60 minutes are normal on weekend mornings.

5. Indoor and climate-controlled courts are the next wave.

Florida summers are pushing serious players indoors. Expect the biggest facility investments over the next 24 months to be air-conditioned, membership-based clubs.

Methodology

Facility counts are compiled from Google Places, USA Pickleball's Places2Play, county parks & recreation directories, and DinkFind's editorial review. Player estimates draw on SFIA participation reports adjusted for Florida's share of national participation. Tournament counts include events sanctioned by APP, PPA, USAP, and major independent leagues held in Florida in 2026.
