From late May through September, Florida pickleball is a morning sport — or an indoor one. Afternoon heat indexes cross 105°F and the 3 p.m. thunderstorm is close to a daily appointment. These are the 105 venues in our directory that keep you playing anyway: club buildings, fieldhouses, rec-center gyms, and covered outdoor pavilions.
Two different things in Florida. A true indoor court is a sealed, air-conditioned building — usually a club or a converted big-box space. A covered court has a roof and open sides: shade and rain protection, no AC, and a lot of ceiling fans.
Indoor is rarely free. Club drop-in runs roughly $10–$25 per session, memberships $80–$180 a month. County rec-center gym slots are the cheap exception — often $5 or free for residents, but limited to a few weekday blocks.
Rec-center gyms share the floor with basketball and volleyball, so pickleball nets go up on a schedule that changes with school seasons. Every listing below has the venue's current phone number.
