Janice Pigga· 4 months agoI started playing pickleball at this facility a little over a year ago, and it was such a positive experience in the beginning. I met incredible people, found a consistent group at my level, and genuinely looked forward to playing each week. The community and competitive balance were what made it special. Since the transition to verified-level open play, however, my experience has changed significantly. The players I regularly played with moved into the verified group, and the remaining open play has become heavily mixed with beginner and low-intermediate players. While that format works for some, it hasn’t provided the level of competition needed for me to continue improving. I attended a 3.75 verification session and was surprised I did not make it, especially since I’ve had close and competitive matches with many players currently in the verified group. The recent switch to requiring a DUBR rating — including playing 30 matches within the club’s paid DUBR sessions — feels restrictive. Current verified players were grandfathered in, but newer players must now pay and compete in mixed-level DUBR matches (often uneven matchups like two higher-level men vs. two lower-level women) in order to qualify. That structure has felt inconsistent and, at times, frustrating. I understand clubs evolve, and I respect the effort to create structure. However, this new system has taken some of the fun and sense of community out of the experience for me. I truly miss the competitive consistency and friendships that originally made this facility such a great place to play. I hope the club continues refining its format in a way that supports both development and fairness for all players.
Scott Carr· a year agoExtremely nice people who love to play pickleball. My session was for two hours with players at the same DUPR rating. No miss-matches, and you own your mistakes. Great place to play if you want to up your rating.
Scott McKenna· 2 years agoExcited for the future I’ve grown to love pickleball and I love that I have an indoor place that I can now play at. It’s great having a true hard court indoors so it’s not just a wood gym floor. It’s been great so far.
