The Apollo Beach Racquet & Fitness Club is, unfortunately, a heartbreaking example of unrealized potential. At its core is a business founded by a genuinely kind and caring owner who built something that was once a cornerstone of the community. Sadly, the day-to-day management has failed to preserve that legacy, and it shows in nearly every aspect of the operation. The most troubling issue is a clear lack of operational leadership. Basic administrative functions that should be routine are handled with frustrating inconsistency. Billing is a perfect example. Members never seem to know when charges will appear, whether on the 1st, the 7th, the 19th, or some other day entirely. Double billing has become a recurring concern, creating unnecessary frustration and undermining confidence in the organization. As a fitness facility, the club falls well short of reasonable expectations. A gym without reliable air conditioning in Florida is simply unacceptable. The workout area is frequently hot, humid, and filled with lingering odors that make exercising unpleasant. The locker room facilities are equally disappointing. With only four showers serving the entire club, members might expect them to at least be clean and comfortable. Instead, they are often uncomfortably warm due to inconsistent air conditioning and accompanied by persistent odors that suggest maintenance and upkeep have become secondary priorities. The restaurant tells a similar story. Its menu has remained largely unchanged for well over a decade, with few meaningful improvements. There was a brief period when the club brought in a talented chef who introduced an outstanding breakfast menu and demonstrated what the restaurant was capable of becoming. Unfortunately, that momentum disappeared, and the menu reverted to the same uninspired offerings. Much of the food feels comparable to pre-packaged wholesale products that could easily be prepared at home, yet "daily specials" are frequently priced as premium dining experiences despite offering little that distinguishes them from the regular menu. Ironically, the restaurant's greatest strengths have very little to do with the food. People continue to visit because of the welcoming atmosphere created by the loyal regulars and the dedicated staff, many of whom deserve tremendous credit for maintaining a positive experience despite working in a facility that is visibly deteriorating around them. They are, without question, one of the club's greatest assets. Even the dining experience itself has lost much of its charm. What was once a place where families and friends could enjoy a meal and conversation has become increasingly inconsistent. Background music varies wildly, and it is now frequently interrupted by the loud electronic sounds of golf simulator games, leaving diners wondering whether they are in a neighborhood restaurant or an entertainment arcade. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the Apollo Beach Racquet & Fitness Club is not what it is today, but what it could be. This property has tremendous potential. It has an established membership, a loyal customer base, an excellent location, and a history that deserves to be honored. Yet instead of investing in the fundamentals that members notice every day, reliable air conditioning, building maintenance, cleanliness, modernized facilities, and consistent operations, management appears to prioritize cosmetic improvements and novelty attractions that fail to address the underlying problems. Members are not asking for luxury. They are asking for competence. They want a facility that functions reliably, a restaurant that delivers quality and value, and a management team that demonstrates through its actions that every customer matters,not just the highest-spending members, but also the families who depend on the club for childcare, recreation, and community. The club deserves leadership equal to its history. Until that happens, members will continue paying premium prices for a facility that too often delivers inconsistent service, deferred maintenance, and excuses.

The members of this Club make it all worth it! However, I was a frequent attending member for 4 years and never once was I greeted by name, even though as I electronically check in the name comes up on their screen. Rarely did the front desk staff even look up, much less say hello while members check in. I have worked the desk at a tennis club and it was a REQUIREMENT that every guest be greeted, at very least, if not by name. Also it is inconceivable that a tennis club does not have an ice machine readily available for the players. I hope for my friends I left behind that the club can make some meaningful changes.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with the Swim Team at the Apollo Beach Racquet Club. Our kids have made incredible strides in less than a year, far exceeding our expectations! They started on the Pre-Team with Coach Logan, who provided a wonderful foundation, and have since transitioned to the Team working with Coach Matt and Coach Tyler. The entire coaching staff is top-notch; they work together seamlessly to challenge the swimmers while keeping them motivated. Being part of a USA Swimming club has provided such a professional and structured environment for their growth. Beyond the technical skills, the team culture is what we love most. The kids truly enjoy cheering each other on at meets, and the sense of sportsmanship across the whole team is inspiring to watch. Highly recommend for any family looking for a competitive yet supportive swim program!

Morgan has given my teenage granddaughter private tennis lessons each time she comes to Florida to visit us. My granddaughter asks for Morgan each time - when a teen is asking for more, that's saying something! Morgan gives clear critiques and focused instruction without the fluff, giving compliments when earned and appropriate. We choose Morgan for tennis!

My son LOVES going to camp after school and during the summer. The club focuses on no screen time and keeping kids busy with physical activities. They offer additional extra which we take advantage of: karate, sparring, swimming, tennis and pickleball. There is also on site therapy for speech and OT and tutoring for academics.
