Amber Underwood· 3 months agoI absolutely love taking my kids to Albert Ray Massey Park—it’s one of those places that just makes a beautiful afternoon even better. The park is always clean (which every mom can appreciate!), and it’s a great size with different playground areas so kids of all ages have something fun to do. Whether they want to climb, run, or just burn off that endless energy, there’s plenty of space for it. There’s always a nice mix of families enjoying the park, and you’ll usually see people walking their dogs along the nature trail, which adds to the relaxed, happy atmosphere. It feels safe, welcoming, and just all-around wholesome. I also love that there’s a picnic area for snacks or a little lunch break, plus basketball and tennis courts if you’re feeling ambitious (or trying to tire the kids out even more 😄). And having a pool during the summer? That’s just a lifesaver in the Florida heat! ☀️🌴
Mr Cowart's Daughter· 3 years agoThe new playground is AWESOME. The colors, the enormous slide area. Lots of little mounds. Games on the trail. Swings, mweer go round. Benches, umbrella tables. Shade trees. Fenced all around. The ground is rubberized. It felt great. I wanna play on some of the equipment. All the children I saw were have a great time. The Babaa was really happy and e cited to play there. Of course, there are picnic areas, swimming pool, tennis court. 👍
Abdelazzim, Walaa· 3 years agoVery nice spot with, a great view, and so many variety of playgrounds. We really had a great time!!! Thank you for this awesome playground!!
Mz. Kitty· 3 years agoA State-of-the-Art Park 🌳 Albert Ray Massey Park (which I’ve always just called Westside Park) was just reopened last month. It has recently been totally renovated and enlarged, and it’s beautiful. As you can see from my photos, the surface is not dirt, but recycled tires (I think) in bright colors. It’s spongy which adds an additional level of safety for the kids and peace of mind for the parents. The gate, with a lock that smaller kids can’t reach, is another safety feature. The wide-variety of equipment is interesting for kids and very useable. There are a few wire grid tables with umbrellas and several benches. The park is quite shady, so it’s not too uncomfortable for patient parents. The rest of the park is large and has lots of other features - a pool, ball courts, restroom, etc. Two issues we’ve had hat is not the parks failing: 1) often way too crowded and, 2) most of the kids there are under 6 and my child is 10. She usually feels a little out of place.
