Jennifer Alvaro· 8 months agoTook the kids to this park as our first option Centennial the parking lot was closed due to a boat show. Anyhow it has a very nice playground area and the murals along the sidewalk are beautiful. The large trees are nice and it seemed well maintained. The only problem was the amount of homeless people present. They were initially outside the fenced area which I thought was ok. But then they approached me and asked for money and food. I don’t mind but hang out elsewhere. I no longer felt safe after a man approached me and two other men joined him at the bench inside the children’s park. My daughter was playing on the playground but we decided to leave. This was in the afternoon around 2pm. Wouldn’t recommend visiting unless it’s early morning or early afternoon.
Trish w· 6 years agoQuite a lovely little park. 2 small parking areas, plenty of seating. Swings, and play areas for children. A quiet oasis, right next to Lee Memorial Hospital. Very well maintained. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Keith Sinke· a year agoHad fun playing pickle ball. The facility was very tidy. People were friendly and kids were having fun playing basketball. Nets were provided for our game. We just brought the party and the paddles.
Lyndsay M· 4 months agoGreat playground, clean grounds, but the bathroom doors do not close and lock
El· 7 months agoThey have improved and upgraded the playground at this park which is just a joy to see!! So happy the city invested in safe places for the kids to play. I love the new design. The bathrooms are terrible, the doors locks on both male and female restrooms don’t work. Just be cautious sending children alone to use the restroom. I’m surprised it’s still the same restrooms as they had with the old park.

Fort Myers has a strong beginner-to-intermediate pickleball scene, and Lions Park is one of the popular local spots. Show up during open play, tell someone you're new, and you'll almost always get pulled into a friendly game.
