I’m writing this in hopes the city can make this park even better, because the setting has so much potential. Located right on the bay, this park offers beautiful water views, calm waves, and wonderful wildlife – we saw fish, a blue crab, and a woodpecker. The relatively new playground is nice, and there’s a boat launch. The wooden swing benches overlooking the bay were absolutely amazing. However, we really struggled to enjoy our time due to a few fixable issues: Ants everywhere – It felt like every step was an anthill. All of us got bitten, and my daughter had a bad reaction – the top of her foot swelled up. One swing bench had an anthill right behind it, so ants crawled on us as we sat. Flying bugs were also constant. We couldn’t even have our picnic. Stroller access needs work – We had a newborn in a stroller. There’s no direct path from the swing benches to the playground – just grass and lots of tree roots. The stroller bounced constantly, and of course the baby woke up. Suggestions to make this park family-friendly: · Address the ant infestation; · Create a simple, level path connecting the swing benches to the playground for strollers and wheelchairs. This could be a true gem for families who love nature. With some targeted improvements, it would be so much more welcoming. Thank you for listening.

Perfect place to escape the crowds, stress and noise of the beach area! There are clean bathroom facilities, a nice boat ramp, shade trees, covered pic-nic areas, a basketball court and play ground. The view of the bay is spectacular!

Awesome park with seating, pavillions, bathrooms, single ramp with no motorized loading allowed. Plenty of parking. Sometimes can be pretty fish-able, but usually a spot for lizardfish to hang around. Lots of grass in the water. The better fishing spot is on the west side of the sea wall. Ideal park to sit and watch the water.
