Visited for a long weekend and this was the perfect choice. Amenities such as bikes, chairs, and shell cleaning station was very helpful. Super simple check in and check out process as well. We loved how comfy the bed was, the AC worked great to get out of the heat, and even had a small pond out back where you could watch the birds and gator from your room!

Wow! We were so pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this fully rehabbed old Florida Inn is. The exterior has the charming 1950s roadside inn appeal. The rooms are fully refurbished with high end furnishings and details. There is a small cooktop, mini fridge and freezer (retro looking), a few plates and glasses, and cutlery. A knife would have been nice to cut limes for beer, but we made do. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C was cold. The free bikes, helmets, and beach chairs are a wonderful touch. The pool area, while small, was nicely appointed with plenty of seating. The shell washing station and hammocks were also cute! There is a convenience store and liquor store a block away. We will definitely return.

All the negative reviews on Google are for the old management, before the remodel. We had the MOST AMAZING stay here this week! The room was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, with a full kitchen. The outdoor space was gorgeous too. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place is amazing! So beautiful and in the heart of Sanibel Island. The whole place is remodeled after a horrible hurricane ruined it. But, Anchor Inn is back and more beautiful than before! Has all the amenities. I loved enjoying the island life for a week. Parked my car and rode the bikes everywhere. Perfect vacation spot!

We were completely blown away by this charming inn. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and you could feel it the moment you arrived. From the beautiful furniture to the comfortable pillows and blankets, everything felt intentional and welcoming. The rooms were equipped with a small stovetop and fridge, plenty of towels and beach towels, and you also have easy access to beach chairs and bikes, which made everything so convenient. What really stood out, though, was the overall feeling of the place. It feels like stepping back in time in the best possible way. The recent renovations keep that old Florida charm while making everything pristine, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The property itself is just as lovely. The pool is great, and there are fun touches everywhere like cornhole, other lawn games, and little picnic tables scattered around the grounds where you can relax. It’s also perfectly located, close to great restaurants, ice cream shops, and all the beautiful Sanibel beaches. It truly feels like a little slice of heaven. I can’t recommend it enough.
