We had a work event here after eating lunch at Cafe Boutique which was 0.2 miles away. I made a quick passby when heading to lunch to ensure there was enough parking and there was. I walked in and was directed to one of the large conference areas in the rear area which had plastic chairs all set in place for the large bunch of our group. The bathroom was very interesting in that they offer a lot of stalls but the handing washing basins are all on the outside, two for the women and two for the men's side.

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred today at the Winter Park Community Center pool and splash pad area. Upon arrival, there was no staff present at the reception desk. As we entered, our baby, naturally excited, ran toward the splash pad, and my husband and I immediately followed to stop him before he could get into the pool area. At that moment, a staff member named Colt came out and began shouting at us, stating, “You need to pay first!” I responded calmly, asking for clarification. At that point, he continued speaking to us in a raised and disrespectful tone, repeatedly insisting that we needed to pay and asking if we were residents. We explained that we were visitors and that we were not intending to use the pool, only to prevent our baby from entering the water unsupervised. Despite this, Colt continued to address us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner, raising his voice and showing no willingness to communicate respectfully. When I asked about the fee, he stated it was 8 dollars per person and insisted that all three of us had to pay, even though our child only intended to use the splash pad. The issue here is not the fee itself, but the completely unacceptable way in which we were treated. Being shouted at and spoken to in such a disrespectful manner, especially in front of our child, is not appropriate under any circumstance and does not reflect the level of professionalism expected from staff in a family oriented public facility. We understand and respect the need for rules and payment policies. However, those policies must be communicated with basic courtesy and professionalism. What we experienced today was neither. I kindly request that this matter be reviewed and addressed accordingly. No family visiting a public facility should be treated in this way.

Such a great place for events! It’s well maintained and so well staffed. It’s a very busy center. I attend trainings and meetings and the rooms are comfortable and nice sounds to hear the speakers. The outside is kept up and plenty of area to sit and relax. Restrooms are kept clean. There’s a staff center right in the middle of the building if you need assistance. There is a gym and a fitness area as well as classrooms. A space to donate and pick out free books. Nice touch with so many youth passing through. Park lot or spaces around the building. During this visit they were fixing the playground so it was taped off. But I am sure it will be available shortly this build is well cared for.
