Brian Lutz (Backhand City)· a year agoThis park has a great footprint to be really something special in the tennis and pickleball community. The tennis center is divided into 3 sections. The front of the property is pickleball. They have converted 3 tennis courts using a blended line system and flimsy portable net system. I arrived on Saturday night and the place was full on all courts with no wait (all beginners) having a blast. The middle section belongs to the concessionaire offering high level tennis coaching with a focus on tournament players. The back section of the property is the public tennis courts. There are two hard courts with pickle lines but no nets. They sit next to the basketball courts and 8 hitting walls. I think a great vision for the property would be to add padel on site, build permanent pickle courts. You could get creative by offering value add to the teaching industry and sell additional concessions for pickle and padel or bundle them as one. It’s $3 per player although I arrived at 7pm on Saturday with no gate keeper. Note: a storm blew in the night before so the place was a mess with branches and leaves galore.
Julio Francisco Bretón· a year agoEnjoyable park to have a family quality time. Beautiful, spacious and with lots of free amenities. Unfortunately, the restrooms could use some cleaning and the water dispensers don’t work (tennis area). So, some maintenance is due.
marcopolodarts· 6 years ago10 Newly resurfaced tennis courts with lights. There needs to be bench chairs for players to sit on during play and also trash bins. That is standard for a tennis facility. A newly replaced basketball court and basket posts. It's my favorite place to get tennis game in play. The renowned Koslov Tennis Camp calls this CB Smith facility their home. Would be nice to have some seeded players showing up like before when the courts were a dump and had needed redoing. Usta amateur league matches were in play at one time. I hope we can reorganize and get this facility fully up to accommodating that. For that benches, canopies, water fountains and other amenities are needed. There are restrooms.
Peter Nathan· 6 years agoNice pickleball area. I wish more tennis facilities did what they have done. They paint some stripes and put a portable pickleball net out for people to move as needed. Pretty easy and cheap and lets other people use them.
