A beautifully maintained lakeside spot that lets you escape the city in just a few steps. What I loved • Sturdy wooden pier & gazebo – spotless benches and railings, perfect for photos, fishing, or simply soaking in the view. • Wide, gap-free boardwalks – safe for kids, strollers, and wheelchairs. • Peace & nature – all you hear is gentle water and birdsong; ideal for quiet conversations or a quick mindfulness break. • Easy access – free parking right next to the path and no entrance fee. Tips • Visit early morning or around sunset for softer light and cooler temperatures. • Bring water or a light snack—there are no cafés within walking distance. • Anglers will appreciate the calm water at the far end of the pier. In short: a perfect little getaway for families, photographers, or anyone needing a quick recharge in nature without leaving town.

Definitely the best park in Windermere. It’s gated and safe for the kids. It has plenty of parking water and a bathroom. You can walk over the bridge and go to the dock also.
