I’ve spent some time at the WaterColor Tennis Center and honestly, there’s a lot of good to say. The courts are in great shape, the staff is excellent, and the overall setup is exactly what you’d expect in a place like WaterColor. One of the biggest highlights is the green clay courts—they’re extremely well maintained and not something you get to play on everywhere. If you’re a homeowner, renter, or guest in the community, it’s definitely a privilege to have access to facilities like this. Right now, the main building is undergoing renovations, but it actually looks like it’s going to be a major upgrade. They’re adding a fitness facility, expanding the pro shop, and building out more pickleball courts. Because of that, the pickleball courts are temporarily out of service, but from what I’ve seen, it should be well worth it once everything is finished. Even during construction, they’ve done a good job keeping things running. There’s still a smaller shop available with essentials like drinks, Chuy ice pops, sweatbands, socks, rental rackets, tennis balls, and water refill stations. They also provide WaterColor towels, which is a nice touch. The instructors—Drew, Lexi, and Alex—are phenomenal. Whether you’re looking for clinics, drills, private lessons, or just some guidance, they really know what they’re doing and make the experience enjoyable for all skill levels. The staff overall is extremely polite and helpful, which makes a big difference. Parking is a bit limited, but that’s pretty typical for the area. Most people bike in anyway, and there are plenty of bike racks. Plus, there’s a trail right there that leads straight into Seaside, which is a great bonus. Overall, it’s a great facility with a lot to offer now, and even more to look forward to once the renovations are complete.

Excellent clay court facility in the heart of WaterColor. Teaching pros are excellent and do a great job of leading fun and competitive drills.

We’re not exactly tennis pros, but the courts were really nice, well kept, and staff was very friendly! Private couples tennis lesson with Lexi was a highlight of our trip to Watercolor. Not much else in the clubhouse aside from racket sports (no food or drinks) but like everything in Watercolor, it’s all accessible at just a short bike ride away.

I had high hopes for the tennis drills. The staff in the office are very friendly and accommodating. The pros are decent. I did 2 1hr drills three days in a row. What I enjoyed the most was meeting and playing with other tennis players from other places.

I’ve been playing at Watercolor tennis for a long time; it’s always fun. Beautiful facility and soft courts. They’ve had terrific pros over the years and still do. Today, I was in a drill with Travis as our pro. He was participating in the game 105 and it was competitive…he got an overhead and crushed it. The ball was going to bounce over the back fence giving his team 20 points for a clean overhead winner…but I tossed my racket into the air and hit the ball saving the points, but sending my racket into the DMZ zone between Watercolor and Seaside tennis. Travis, with no hesitation and at risk of great personal harm quickly scaled the fence and returned with my racket. That is beyond the call of duty and what you can expect at Watercolor tennis! Btw, he said he believes my racket is the first one to ever go over the fence…
