We discovered Halpatiokee North Park along the Martin County Blueway Paddling Trails while stopping for lunch off I-95, & it turned out to be a great little find for our family. The park has a convenient kayak launch, picnic tables, & restrooms, which made it an easy and relaxing stop during our road trip. There’s also plenty of open space, perfect for kids (& our dog) to run around & stretch their legs. The only downside was the lack of trash cans, which was a bit surprising & slightly inconvenient. Overall, a peaceful, scenic spot & a great place to take a break, definitely worth the quick detour!

I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful facility. It has ball fields, soccer fields, tennis and Pickleball, disc golf, hiking and biking trails and a hockey rank. Every part of it is immaculate and well maintained, and the atmosphere is consistently safe and family friendly. Bathrooms are dated but clean and functional.

Absolutely my go-to local hiking trails. I hike/walk/run the trails 3-6 times every week. 90% of the time I see one of my many tortoise buddies. Great canoeyaking starting point too. Great trails for your dog companions. Incredible biking trails too.
