Laken Hendrix· 3 weeks agoWe have loved staying here! Very clean resort! The pool area is awesome, especially having kids! There is a pool for every age. The bar in front of the pool area is very convenient for adults! We loved the pickleball court and gym as well! The location is great for walking to any destination not just the beach! Would recommend to anyone and would love to stay here again.
Pawpaw56 B.· 2 months agoOverall this is a really nice place. We were on the 15th floor and had awesome views. The pools were impeccably clean and the gardens beautiful. All restrooms were clean. One thing we hadn't thought about was the road and airplane noise. You do not get that ocean noise that is so calming. It would be a great place for kids as they have so much to do in the pool area and it's enclosed. I wish they would have had sun umbrellas, It is hard to find shade and every one is trying to be in the shade. You can't bring your own umbrella with all the cement. We did bring floaties and had a blast in the pools. Be prepared for a walk when you need to get to your car as it is quite the hike. But, nice that your car is in a covered garage with elevators.
Brooke Boswell· 7 months agoOur stay at the Palms of Destin was bittersweet. On one hand, the individual condo unit we occupied was truly excellent. It was spacious, well-maintained, and successfully captured a cozy, home-like feeling that made our vacation relaxing and comfortable. We have absolutely no complaints about the accommodation itself—it was great! However, our experience with the resort amenities, which we have come to love and rely on, was deeply disappointing. We have visited the Palms of Destin many times before (for Thanksgiving, Spring Break, and Summer), and during all previous trips, the Bistro, Coffeehouse, and Bar were fully open and operational. We were even able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner here previously. Imagine our surprise and disappointment upon checking in only to be told that these core food and beverage operations would be "closed until further notice." Furthermore, the resort's hot tub—another feature we frequently recommend to friends—was also closed throughout our entire stay. The availability of the dining and relaxation options is a significant factor in why we choose to return to the Palms of Destin. When two of the main reasons we highly recommend this resort are unavailable, it substantially detracts from the value and overall enjoyment of the visit. We hope these key facilities are reopened soon, as their absence had a noticeable negative impact on what would otherwise have been a perfect stay.
natalia stepnowski· 2 months agoWe stayed here for a couple days and the place is amazing my ONLY complaint is the bartender Amanda. My brother is 26 and got denied a drink at the bar because Amanda thought his ID was fake after he provided another form of identification she refused to look at it or serve him. The manager said if she doesn’t want to serve him then she doesn’t have to which is RIDICULOUS and completely unprofessional and absolutely ruined my vacation. Mind you we were getting served everyday we were here and Amanda decided to not serve us on our last day.
Latasha Walker· 5 months agoThis was my first time visiting this resort (though not my first time in Destin). During my April stay, only one elevator was working, which was definitely an inconvenience at times. That said, the grounds were beautiful and clean, and I had a nice view of the pool. My Airbnb itself was gorgeous, with a partial ocean view and a perfect location right in the heart of Destin — close to shops, beaches, and restaurants. You just have to pack your patience in situations like this. The front desk staff was friendly and informative, and they really went above and beyond for me. I accidentally left my phone in an Uber, and panic definitely set in, but they stayed calm, patient, and even let me use their cell phone to contact the driver. They offered all the help they could, and I truly appreciated their kindness.

Destin has a strong beginner-to-intermediate pickleball scene, and The Palms of Destin Resort is one of the popular local spots. Show up during open play, tell someone you're new, and you'll almost always get pulled into a friendly game.
