Eileen Crowley· 3 months agoWe are intermediate players that came here to play. We’ve been traveling and a bit rusty. We played subpar our normal level. As a result we were obviously not chosen to play even though our paddles were up. We’ve been playing for 10 years and never felt so unwelcome anywhere else we’ve played before! Be aware
Andrea Federman· a year agoI love this park, only wished it was within walking distance to home! Besides very nice basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, there are great walking trails around a lake with lots of wild life to see (squirrels, iguanas🦎...and occasionally bunnies 🐇).
Jim Cole· 4 months agoExcellent place to play pickleball. Warm and welcoming groups. The courts were recently resurfaced so are very nice condition.
Brian Lutz (Backhand City)· 3 years agoGreat spot for pickleball. Plenty of courts (8) right next to train and near highway. So you will hear a buzz of cars in the distance. There is usually a steady wind and plenty of players. Much less serious games than nearby Delray TC and it’s also free.
Duc Huynh· a year agoThere is much to be improved in this pickleball court. There are large gaps in the windscreens that allow to get through and be very strong in the court when we are playing. I suggest filling out all the court fences without the wind screens with wind screens. The lights in the court makes it hard to see at night compared to other courts’ lights, and the paint in the court does not have enough contrast to see the lines. I suggest redoing the lights or use different lights here. Having one paddle rack makes it impossible to keep track of who is playing next, and it seems like people don’t even use the paddle rack and would rather wait with their paddles on hand. Especially when there are low amounts of people, it messes up the queue system as no one would be using the paddle racks. I suggest having a paddle rack on each court. Last but most important, not having a fence divider between each court is really frustrating as balls from either side of the court can fly into the other, which takes away from people’s flow during games. This happens way too often to be enjoyable. A positive of this court is that there are a lot of courts to be used at once, so wait times are minimal. I would suggest looking at how john prince park or Okeeheelee park courts are to have an understanding of a well designed pickleball court.
