I love seeing how the park has improved over the years since I was a child growing up in the area. There are a lot more people in the area now and the playground upgrade to newer equipment is awesome! Mrs. Sandra Terry established the community center as a place for the children in the local neighborhood to stay out of trouble having a structured environment. My daughter had also attended the preschool when she was younger and loved it. Through the Laurel civic association they have a great food bank here twice a month. I would love to see in the future maybe a splash pad for the kids by the playground area as it does get very hot in the summertime. There should be more "NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES" signs through the smaller sidewalks and walkways before the Legacy Trail as I have almost been run over several times walking! This is a complaint from other people as well, it not always peaceful and quiet. The amount of electric bicycles, small mopeds, and motorbikes that are ridden through the park fast is now dangerous to the regular execise walkers, dog walkers and non-electric cyclists!

Great park! See photos - there's a few playgrounds, tennis, full basketball court with SINGLE RIMS , bathrooms, water bottle refill station with the water fountains, a bunch of roof covered picnic table spots, and good amount of parking space especially near the community center entrance. Plenty of field space to let the dog run or throw a Frisbee or something also :)

Awesome little local park with super nice playgrounds! Hours of fun for the kids and plenty of shade and picnic areas! Love going to this park and hanging out. Definitely recommend for families with kids as there is plenty of activities for everyone and lots of natural beauty!

Very nice park with lots of places to walk and explore. There’s many small play areas for kids, I like how they are separated and how diverse they are. It’s close to Legacy Trail and you can use it to park. It also has a small running trail with some agility stations throughout.

I love Laurel Park and the Legacy Trail connector here. This is a very clean and safe park. The entrance to the Legacy trail allows for an easy parking and then to take an amazing long walk or. Bike ride. I personally love to walk all the way to Venice or even Sarasota. It’s safe for bikers and truly a gift for any Nature lover. You can breathe fresh air , listen to your favorite music and get healthier all tat the same time. Highly recomended.
