Brittany Johnson· 2 months agoA nice park close to all the main PCB attractions. It was the perfect activity for the kids when the weather was too cool for the beach. I appreciate the separate, gated play sections. And how nice that the playground is protected from the sun with large awnings. On a nice day, there's an outdoor aquatic center with mini a water park for $8/person. There is plenty to do for kids of all ages.
Chris Konecny· 3 months agoThis park hands down have something for everyone in your family. There are basketball courts, multiple playgrounds with some of them being covered and have turf like grass, another one has a zipline and is in the sand with a climbing wall and last is a young kids one that is covered also. There is a picnic area that is covered and has a firepit and drink machine for money. There as multiple bathrooms available all through the park. There is plenty of parking no matter what area you are heading to. One of our favorite areas is the pool area with a kids splash pad. This park is over 200 acres in size and is able to host family outings, event, concerts, baseball games and more. You can easily spend a whole day or even a week at this park. The one thing we did not see open was any concession stands but there were no baseball games going on. Today, it features nine baseball and softball fields, batting cages, a T-ball field, a dedicated Miracle League field for inclusive play, three soccer fields, four multi-purpose football fields, four lighted tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, shuffleboard, and more. Playgrounds scattered throughout provide fun for younger visitors, while three-fenced dog parks allow pets to run freely. Named in honor of longtime local educator Frank Brown, the park was originally known as Beach Memorial Park before its official renaming in 1983. What began modestly with just a couple of fields has evolved into a comprehensive complex. Water enthusiasts enjoy the Panama City Beach Aquatic Center on-site, complete with an Olympic-sized outdoor pool, kids’ splash pool, and amenities like locker rooms and classes. Beyond sports, the park includes picnic areas, pavilions (including lakeside ones with grills), concession stands, restrooms, and green spaces. A large 20-22 acre festival site hosts major events like music festivals (e.g., Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam), horse shows, car shows, and community gatherings, accommodating up to 10,000 people.
Bill Edwards· 4 months agoNice large event area. The Cirque Italia Water Circus Gold was there. Parking was easy and so was leaving after the event.
Brittany Shaw· 4 weeks agoPark is dog friendly throughout (excluding like the water park) but I came here to have a shaded area for myself and my dog to spend time. Was not disappointed. They have several trails, pavilions with picnic tables, and (at least) two dog parks that you can let your furry friend run around off leash. Plenty to do for the whole family with ample parking. Even when the front of the park is substantially busy the back area where Gayle's Trails begins remains slower & quieter. Many people fishing in their pond (they do have daily limits for this but they don't seem too extreme)
