Florida Gulf Discovery LLC· 4 months agoWe explored Sanibel Island by boat and it was an amazing experience. The southern tip of the island offers truly magnificent views, especially of the historic Sanibel Lighthouse standing beautifully by the water. Seeing the lighthouse from the boat gives a completely different perspective — peaceful, scenic, and very “Old Florida.” The clear water, sandy shoreline, and calm atmosphere make this area perfect for boating and sightseeing. If you’re on the water around Sanibel, cruising by the lighthouse at the southern tip of the island is definitely something you shouldn’t miss. 🌅⚓
Christine Jacobs· 7 months agoThis Island is so beautiful! There on November 13 and the weather was beautiful. Dolphins came in and swam in front of us, beautiful sea shells and a survivor of a lighthouse was shining bright even after the hurricanes. Stayed for the sunset and it did not disappoint. Bring lunch and drinks with you as there is only the building that houses the bathrooms there. Parking is $5 an hour through a text to pay app. No smoking on the beaches, dog friendly. It was amazing.
David Kerr (Dave)· 8 months ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sanibel Lighthouse Park and Beach is a true slice of paradise! The historic lighthouse, dating back to 1884, adds charm to a stunning stretch of coastline filled with seashells, soft sand, and gentle Gulf breezes. The beach is peaceful and well-kept, with beautiful views — perfect for sunrise walks, photography, or simply relaxing by the water. Plenty of parking, clean facilities, and easy access make it ideal for couples and families alike. A must-visit spot that captures the true beauty and serenity of Sanibel Island!
The hungry traveler· 4 weeks agoHands-down, beautiful beach! Wonderful Shellie opportunities! Parking can be limited, however it is easy to pay by app. Be sure to bring an umbrella as there are limited availability for shade.
NotMyRealName· 2 months agoThe only thing standing after Hurricane Ian except for one leg that was taken off. The storm was 4 years ago. It’s amazing of how much damage it caused. Even now. Parking is weird. It’s hard to figure out where to go now. Wherever you decide to park pay for parking. Use your phone to pay for it. You can pick how long you want to park there. They have signs everywhere on how to do it. You can get really close to the light house because there is a fence around it.

Sanibel has a strong beginner-to-intermediate pickleball scene, and Sanibel Lighthouse is one of the popular local spots. Show up during open play, tell someone you're new, and you'll almost always get pulled into a friendly game.
