Danielle Little· 5 months agoA beautiful little spot and not crowded. Calm and shallow water with hermit crabs, egrets, and osprey as some of the local fauna you might catch a glimpse of. I didn't note if there are currently any amenities/facilities, but new 'things' are under construction. Fortunately, they are far enough away from the actual beach that they do not interfere with enjoyment of the spot.
sasha mata· 2 months agoOnly 4 stars because its taking awhile to get the pool back, but I was there recently and do see the construction has progressed alot since I last visited in December. Nice place for families. Picnic tables to enjoy and outdoor lunch or snack and quiet and enjoyable. Never been to the beach there because the water is so brackish. But if you wanna just lay out without needing to swim, its still a nice spot. These pictures are from some picnic tables we found a little further into the park.
Larry Holcombe· 3 months agoIt's a nice Park. It's nice to see the beaches restored with very fine sand. The flame ground area was clean and the mulch bed was good. Tennis courts and pickleball courts look like they were in good shape. The basketballs could use some new nets. They're working hard on getting everything else up and running. It's going to be a while before the pier is back. Probably 5 years. Plenty of parking.
stanley campbell· 4 months agoGet there early, limited parking. Beach area is nice, soft sand. Park was devastated during the hurricane. Is open now for patrons. There is an addition to the park, a recreation center and pool. And yes there is fishing, floating docks, boat ramp. Only 4 stars, construction still pending but finishing soon.
Melissa Overkamp Cosgrove· 6 months agoThe beach has been restored from the damage of Hurricane Milton. The new rec center and pool complex will be completed in the fall of 2026. There is a playground, basketball court and picnic tables dispersed under the trees. Peaceful.
