Dan Van Dam· a year agoDecent, dedicated pickleball courts. Competitive & friendly play options. Although public courts be aware of the schedule (see attached photo). The only other option we found currently on AI is the Omni, a private (pay to play aprox $30/ 90 mins) pickleball court. Both are quite busy during peak hrs. Good respect for paddle system (next 1-4) play @ Central Park. Minimal shade. Bathrooms on-site. Fun playground next to courts for all ages. Tennis courts, softball/ bball multi-purpose fields avail., too.
Michael Ochocki· 2 years agoGreat place to play pickleball on one of six courts. Friendly competition, and typically, you can rotate in with either 2 on/off or if there are 12+ paddles up 4 on/off.
Karen Martin· 11 months agoWhile the facility itself at the community pickleball courts is well-maintained and clean, our experience with some of the community members playing there was unfortunately disappointing. My family and I took an open court to enjoy a few casual games together, and instead of a friendly or welcoming atmosphere, we were met with rude and unkind behavior. Other community member players told us to "hurry up," suggested we “go play on the tennis courts” if we weren’t doing things their way, and insisted that we follow their rules—even though the courts were open and there were no posted guidelines or official rotation system. We came with a positive attitude, hoping to enjoy a fun family outing, but left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. It’s unfortunate that such a nice public space is overshadowed by a few individuals who act like they own it. A little kindness and inclusion would go a long way in creating the kind of community space these courts are meant to be.
Ron Hagerman· 2 years agoUnfortunately this latest experience here was not the best. 2 courts full with mixed doubles- 2 courts full with men only- Myself and a woman warmed up put our paddles in the rack and were never offered to play when a game ended. Everyone just started another game. Waited 30 minutes and finally just left when it was apparent that no one was going to offer to let us play.next game. That has never happened at any other facility anywhere I have travelled. Over heard the comment that since the courts weren’t full then they didn’t have to offer to let others who were waiting play the winners. Not the most courteous people yesterday- but I’m sure not all who play here are that way. So I’d check schedule and avoid their “open” play!
