nicole reyes· 8 months agoMy daughter started out with higher level swim lessons to learn the different swim strokes which she learned a lot. She was then able to join the boynton ymca Rays swim team which has completely transformed how she swims. I am incredibly happy how much she has improved in her swim skills. They are given the opportunity to practice 4 times a week with their coaches. The coaches have been great and very responsive. I now have full confidence in her swimming abilities and relieved as a parent that I know she is safe in the water. Every swim meet I have seen her improve in her skill and speed. She was 6-7 years old going into this which I think was a great age to start.
Mary Susan Del Carpio· a month agoVery disappointed. They schedule 6 kids for a 30 min class, which gives only 5 min of class to each kid. Also because my daughter got the free voucher she is not allowed to go to the play area at the pool. Really! that is very stingy. This place obviously only cares about money. Squeezing so many kids in a short time session. Not to mention the bathrooms are dirty and in bad shape. I truly wasted my free voucher here.
Sidney Atwood· 3 months agoI’ve been at the Y for a while now and it’s become a huge part of mine and my kids life. I use the child care usually before 12pm, the staff is wonderful and always takes such good care of my children. They look forward to coming and I look forward to working on myself while my kids are being well taken care of. I’ve used the swim lessons 3 months for my daughter and I officially have a swimmer! Martha is amazing and I’m so appreciative of her teaching strategies. I’m giving 5 stars for all those reasons stated but please….for Gods sake, GET NEW WIFI! It’s awful and I can’t load music or stream anything on my phone while in the building which is a huge bummer due to the fact I spend so much time here.
Melinda· 2 years agoThis is probably the worst Y I've ever been to. I'm a visiting member from Des Moines. It's nice that they have the e-gym here even though I don't participate. I noticed a lot of people in the program. There seemed to be quite a few trainers around but just one person at the front desk while they were having tech issues. The weight machines are pretty outdated albeit decently maintained. There was a huge variety of equipment all around though I only saw one set of kettlebells. They use paper towels to clean the machines here which is extremely wasteful. There's a basketball court and some outdoor fields (which other Y's don't always have). I think I saw a cycling studio and a freestyle workout room. No racquetball courts here. I'll reiterate what someone else mentioned about the locker rooms/bathrooms. They are DISGUSTING. Stains everywhere, mold, mildew, chipped sinks and counters. I needed to pee but I high-tailed it out of there and waited till I got to the store. A Y membership is not cheap, and the facility was full towards the end of our visit. I wonder what's happening to all of the money they're getting. A clean bathroom should be standard. It's 2024. You can tell they really don't care by the generic responses they give to all of the negative reviews.
John Assisi· 4 months agoGreat place for families.. lots to do.. As an older retired man there are no discounts for over 65. My health insurance has gym membership , the do not participate. Not very Senior friendly..
