Randall S. Oke· 4 months agoWilliam R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park Playground has quickly become a must-visit spot for our family. This was our third visit with our grandchildren, and every time they come to see us, they ask if we can go back. The playground is spacious, well maintained, and offers plenty of variety to keep kids busy — climbing structures, slides, and lots of room to run and explore. It’s a great place for them to burn off energy while we enjoy watching their confidence grow each visit. We appreciate how clean and family-friendly the park feels, with open space and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s become one of those special “Grandma and Grandpa” places that the kids look forward to every trip. Highly recommend for families visiting or living in Port Charlotte!
Pam Marcketti· 3 months agoThis is a great park for the kiddos to have fun, lots of different play areas for different age groups!! But it would be an amazing place if the sun shades that use to be over the playground equipment that were ripped apart & taken down after the hurricane were replaced so the kiddos don't get heat exhaustion!! Also if there was more shaded seating available that would help tremendously!! It gets super hot & there is no shade except for one small picnic table under a small pavillion!!

Tiggrrr· 8 months agoAmazing place for my 3 kids under 4yrs old. More equipment than 95% of parks anywhere near by. Built safe, clean! I love the military Memorial playground design, my boys love it
