How the city breaks down
Think of Orlando in rings. The inner ring — Baldwin Park, Audubon Park, the Milk District side of town — is where the younger, faster, more social games happen. The outer suburbs like Winter Garden, Oviedo and Lake Nona lean toward organized ladder play and family rec. Downtown itself has surprisingly little; don't waste a morning circling it.
The indoor advantage
This is the thing Orlando has that Naples and Sarasota don't: real indoor capacity. Church gyms, converted racquetball rooms and dedicated indoor clubs run year-round. From June through September that matters more than anything else on this page, and it's why summer play here doesn't collapse the way it does on the coasts.
Visitor reality check
If you're in town for a conference or theme parks, resort courts are convenient but usually dead — you'll be hitting with whoever you brought. For a real game, drive fifteen minutes to a municipal complex and join a paddle rack. Nobody will ask who you are.
